We know it’s important to include children in wedding celebrations, so they are welcome to join in the festivities until 9pm, after which they must be off the premises. This is due to alcohol licensing laws.
-
We must stop serving alcohol at 11.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30am on Friday and Saturday and 11pm on Sunday. We ask that all guests vacate the property (quietly!) no later than one hour after the bar closes.

Yes we can!

We provide 2 interconnected barns which are set up with wooden benches and tables, wood burning stoves and courtyard bathrooms. Use of the courtyard is included in the set up which has more seating and an outdoor area. We will provide sufficient staff for the duration of the reception. We do not provide any decoration for the venue.
-
We allow simple decorations that will not cause any damage to the property, so that means no nails, screws, glue or sellotape can be used. You’re welcome to provide linens and tableware to decorate the benches, along with flowers, balloons etc. We cannot allow confetti or sparklers, and candles may be used in moderation. There is a limited number of power sockets in the barns which you may use, however for fairy lights we prefer that you use ones that are battery operated. You are welcome to decorate the space the day before as long as the venue is not in use or booked with another wedding. In this instance, we can allow access from early on the day of the wedding to decorate. We ask that all decorations are removed by 11am the following day.

Pot Duggans’ is a small pub in a rural town which means we have a lot of neighbours! For that reason, the only outside music we can allow is low-level live acoustic music or a playlist which is played over our speaker system via phone, tablet or laptop. Indoors in the barns, we can hold a small 2-3 piece band or DJ, and music can be played until 11pm after which there is an option to turn the music down or move inside to the main bar. The wedding couple is responsible for sourcing and booking any entertainment required
